“ i love the fried catfish and all the fixens! we always order the turnips and they are also very good. the place looks dated on the inside and could withstand some updating. overall, food is great, the view is nice and service is fast. one additional plus, you can come by boat with a convenient dock right outside! ”

The waitress was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and the kitchen procedures, as to how we wanted our food cooked and that kind of service does not go unnoticed for those of us who still want to go to a nice restaurant these days. ”

“ It's only right to be fair with this review and not let one slow night knock this place to a 2-star. So, with that being said, I will add some pictures from last year. I came on a very busy night which isn't new for this place. It has always been busy throughout the years. But this night I had a 12-year-old, a ten year, a five-year-old, and my mom. We waited for a little over an hour to be seated, and we were eventually seated. We ordered fried pickles, and onion rings for the appetizer. The entree orders were two fish platters and three chicken platters. Well, the food never did come, in all fairness, the waitress did say the kitchen was behind after 30 minutes of sitting there. Now, it was an hour and all I wanted was the check for the appetizers. So, I waited and waited, and she didn't come back. I think she left out the back door because I wasn't the only table waiting on their food. But this is a great place to eat, the food is delicious, and the scenery unbelievable even at night. ”
“ I was in Jackson for work. SO many people recommended my cohorts and I visit this restaurant. I did something I normally don't do, blindly took a recommendation without doing my own research. This time I was lucky. I was super surprised to see the menu was so limited - chicken tenders or catfish. After my meal, I see why it's so limited. When you do a few things perfectly, why add more? The cornbread and coleslaw are served family style. I was surprised to find actual corn in the cornbread. And let me just say, I'm not even a catfish or coleslaw person but OMG! It was sooo good. And I took food home. Who takes fish to go? Me... :/ It was THAT good! Also loved the view we got and we had the sweetest little server. I'll probably never be in Jackson again, so I recommend this place to everyone looking for a good southern meal. Eat a piece of fish for me! ”
